February’s hot health topic is...taking care of your body!conversation with your middle schooler. We welcome your feedback and hope that you connect in
some way with these monthly “newsletters”.
As teenagers grow, their body is changing. Middle School is the perfect time to start building habits
towards healthy body hygiene. "Sweaty Sock Syndrome" is real, people! Eww...we aren't joking! In this
month's newsletter, we challenge you to talk to your child about taking care of their body. Take time to
talk to them about eating healthy food, exercising, showering and taking care of their teeth, hair
and nails.
Things to talk about with your child...
- What are your recommendations for using deodorant, showering and body care?
- How can taking care of your body affect your life?
- Are there areas for improvement with your child taking care of their body?
- What foods that we eat at home are healthy---which ones aren't so healthy?
